Another thread. Oh my. Again, I'll update it as i see more.

It occurred to me as I was looking over my old signatures with the ribbons and stuff I've earned in the past on them, that the image we use for the UAF Medal of Honor has a different texture than the rest. A while back I used the colors to create a new image that looked more like the rest. I figured I'd post it so you guys could take a look and see if you wanted to use it.

The colors aren't exact, but it looks alright and certainly matches a little better. :Two Up:

EDIT: And while I'm at it; I like putting the ribbons up top under the ranks, but it might be better to see if you could move them to the right side of that top gray bar. It makes the left side look messy and cluttered. Dunno' if that's possible, but it's a suggestion I figured I'd throw out there.

Icons would be a little too... little, lol. But shrinking them isn't a bad idea. I noticed that they do look to be shrunk a little bit now.

Shrinking the division and department icons wouldn't be a bad idea, thought. Those are part of what jams up that space, and the fact that they're all different shapes gives and non-uniform look to them that kinda' puts me off. I do like the idea of having them, but it might be worth a look into re-designing them. Expanding yet again on the milsim issue, we could use branch insignia or something similar (branch insignia denote membership in a particular area of expertise and series of functional areas). Perhaps we can use that idea a bit for departments? I know quite a few of them would match up nicely. If you guys want, I can further investigate that and come up with something for every department that's pretty close.

That said, I would be more than happy to offer my graphical skill up to UAF for any image editing that may be required during the course of the winter update.

Double post, but it's a new thought.

How about we remove the images off the News, Diplo and Donations forums? It looks a bit funny when only certain forums have them (again, the uniformity point), and the extra space they take up is annoying when all you want to do is scroll to the squad forums to read up on promotion requirements. They're big and clunky and get in the way of smooth operations.

Just a thought.

You guys should add an "order" for the ribbons. That way people would put 'em on their sigs in a certain order and it would look uniform

Got another suggestion after reading the "State of.." thread on internal.

I think it'd be a good idea to add a usergroup to the TS server for security dept - or if we already have one - to give the group an icon so people know who they are.

That way, when someone needs kicking from one of the game servers, we can easily see who can do it and don't have to go bothering HC for it.
