The end of TGW.

After the last loss in the tournament the CTR General PKRocky and Squad Leaders have decided it might be best to give forfait in the Tournament.

CTR was unable to cough up enough players even after we (UAF) managed to get around 2 to 7 players for the 3 weeks we played in it. It is hard to find enough players that will commit their time to be there every sunday.
It so became impossible for CTR to win a ""round"". CRT gives forfait under the motto "We tried our best."


Today I received confirmation in the following PM on the TGW forums.

TGW Admin Staff (as discussed Post Battle 6): After much discussion with our officers, the CTR Army has agreed that effective today (Sun, 3/14) it will be in everyone’s best interest to respectfully forfeit Campaign 9 to WOLF. The following groups/leads comprise this consensus:

1. 63X (63rd Xeon Brigade) – [CTR]63X|Cpt.AFlyingTwig
2. RD (Red Dawgs) – [CTR]RD|Cpt.Salt-n-woond
3. SoD (Studio of Destruction) – [CTR]=SoD=|Lt.Gen.Chance42
4. UAF (United Armed Forces) – [CTR]UAF|Cpt.TheHardest

It’s been a long ride, but sadly, it has become clear that CTR is unable to rebuild itself for any reasonable competition, negating all the hard work that TGW, WOLF, and my remaining Army have been committing each week. We feel strongly that forfeiting the Campaign will allow everyone to focus on the new opportunities that BC2 and other games will provide.

The CTR family remains very grateful to everyone’s efforts – without what TGW has provided, we would never have made the friends that we have.

Yeah I think that was right decision. UAF played 3 weeks and during that time CTR won, what, 1 single round out of 19?!

Agreed. We never really had a chance vs. the other team...it was fun playing in TGW for the time that we were signed up for it though.
