I've just moved our server over from using KVM virtualization to VirtualBox.
I need peoples opinions on the speed. Do the forums seem to be loading faster than before, the same, or slower?
Thanks.

About the same. I think its at the point now where any speed improvement wouldn't be noticed by the naked eye.
I'd also like to say that its a good thing we didn't have to roll back before we put in the new awards and associated pages..
Don't screw up!
Spoiler:
Yea, this new virtualization software allows dynamic quota's. Meaning rather than just have a large honkin 200 gig image file that never changes in size and is a major bummer to back up (Reason the other image went to heck was the 200gig file was too large to make multiple copies or backup regularly).
So rather than that mess, the disk image file only grows as large as the data we store on the server. It can grow larger (I set max at 300 Gigs) but it can't shrink, so if we throw crap on the server that grows the disk to a huge degree we can't shrink that back down without going through a bunch of complicated command line crap so keep that in mind if anyone thinks about sticking gigs worth of data on the server for any reason. Good idea to keep things clean on the server end.
