    Default Clan's Main Website Background image and other suggestion.

    Hello Web-Team,

    I've noticed that whenever I open the home page of uafclan.com, and specifically if I have a big screen, the Image splits into several parts in order to fill out the background.

    I have a quick suggestion since this is based on the .css file.

    On the html {} tag, for background, I'd recommend this:

    html {
    background: url(image link) no-repeat center center fixed;
    -webkit-background-size: cover;
    -moz-background-size: cover;
    -o-background-size: cover;
    background-size: cover;
    }

    This will keep the image covering the whole background depending on the user's screen size, without having repeated images covering the background.

    Let me know if it works once you test it ^^.

    On another note: I'm also currently working on a way to improve the Clan's Application, so instead of having the applicant copy & paste the form, we will be prompting a Form similar to this:

    Once the applicant clicks on submit, a Thread will be autogenerated with the applicant's username as the title ex: "WolfOfWind's Application"

    Once I keep getting any progress on this I'll be sharing the source code and hopefully get tested. I'll be testing it on my local and once I'm sure it's working properly I'll let you guys know about it.

    ^^

    Any feedback is welcome.

    We had the auto form before. Idk why it's out now. Most likely a bug or security issue.

    You know CSS eh?
    Good call. Is that compatible with all browsers (Even internet exploder/exploiter?)

    Do you code layouts using pure CSS and browser hacking/conditional stylesheets or use tables?

    *It seems to be working. Validation spits out warnings but I figured as much, I've tried using these before. I suppose validation warnings are better than visually distracting images.

    I don't usually like to use shorthand, as I value a more straightforward approach that is easy to read/interpret but looks good.

    Thank you.

    Hmm, maybe put every answer as text boxes, so we don't have many people mindlessly pressing Yes and spambots?

    It's supposed to work on IE9+, but there are other alternatives as well. I noticed the repeating images on the 27" mac we use at work

    I'm not really that advanced in front end development, but I've been working around with Back-End, Front-End and even servers at work. My company is dedicated in web development for Sandals and Beaches Resorts, so I get to learn a bit from everyone in there, since my job is that of an Application Performance Monitoring, so I work around with logs.

    For a college project, I had to make a static html website from scratch, and it's own css stylesheet, and I ran into that issue of the image being too small in order to cover large screens. I still haven't taken any coding classes in college, but I guess I'm in the right environment to learn a bit from everything at my work place.

    Any way I can help out in the clan, I'll be more than glad to.

    Gotta easy up on the "hells" there Shellshock, no need to get too excited. As for the app, the problem would be integrating it as a part of the forums.
    Don't screw up!
